General guidelines
1. All appointment times are approximate, unless otherwise agreed, as the exact length of the previous appointment cannot be guaranteed - please allow 15 or 20 minutes either side of the time given. If you require an exact appointment time, please request this as soon as possible, and at least 48 hours before the session.
2. Please do not feed your dog within 4 hours of the session but, other than food, please follow your normal routine.
3. When I arrive, please behave as you normally would when inviting visitors into your house. If your dog is likely to show aggression towards strangers, please inform me before I arrive.
4. If your dog has any allergies or food sensitivities please inform me during the session.
5. If I am seeing your dog for aggression or other problem behaviours towards a specific dog or dogs (such as two dogs living in the same house) then all the dogs involved need to be present at the appointment. If the dogs belong to different households, then at least one owner of each dog(s) need to be present as well, to ensure that all owners understand the behavioural modification programme.
6. If I am seeing your dog for behaviour towards visitors to the house - including both aggressive (eg barking at visitors) and non-aggressive behaviour (eg jumping up), please arrange for at least one caller to arrive at the house during the session. If unsure at what point to arrange the visitor to arrive, please ask.
7. If I am seeing your dog for aggressive behaviour towards known people (eg family members) then these people must be present during the consultation.
8. If you need to postpone or cancel the appointment, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice. A charge may be made if appointments are cancelled at less than 48 hours notice or, if the appointment is rebooked, payment in advance may be requested.
9. I carry a heavy bag so parking within 50 metres of your home is required. If free parking is not available close by, please advise a suitable parking location nearby.

Payment
Payment is due at the end of the session. If two sessions are needed, payment can be made at the end of each session or in total at the end of the first session. Cash or Cheques are acceptable. Please make cheques payable to Helen Taylor Dog Training & Behaviour (or leave blank as I have a stamp). A receipted invoice can be provided if you wish, either for your own records or so that you can claim the cost (of a behavioural consultation) against your insurance.
